There are a number of ways for individuals, foundations, and corporations to contribute to CAMH and our programming at a more significant level, whether that be supporting our internationally recognized Major Exhibition Series, our groundbreaking Perspectives Series, our exceptional Education and Outreach Programming, or in support of our acclaimed publications and individual exhibitions. Your generosity makes all of these celebrated programs possible and allows CAMH to contribute not only to contemporary art, but to contemporary society and our community.

Major Exhibition Fund

The Major Exhibition Series is at the heart of CAMH's mission to connect contemporary art and contemporary society. Four large-scale exhibitions are presented annually, showcasing the work of today's freshest, most innovative artists. Both solo shows and group exhibitions are part of the Major Exhibition Series, examining the timely themes and vast array of media utilized by these visionary artists through in-depth retrospectives and thoughtful explorations of concepts and ideas prevalent in contemporary art and life. CAMH's Major Exhibitions have garnered international attention and praise and regularly travel across the United States and abroad. The series is supported by our Major Exhibition Fund (MEF), a unique fund that provides support for all of CAMH’s major exhibitions, ensuring that our curators have the freedom to bring their progressive ideas to fruition, and present Houston's public with significant, relevant, and exceptional exhibitions of today's art.

All MEF Donors at the $10,000 level and above receive:

Perspectives Fund

For CAMH's Perspectives Series, our curatorial department organizes four to five smaller-scale original exhibitions annually. Perspectives exhibitions are some of the most innovative presentations in the study of contemporary art, focusing exclusively on lesser-known work by up-and-coming and established artists. These exhibitions are a unique and exciting opportunity for both CAMH and the artists they spotlight. Often these shows are an artist’s first solo exhibition and the accompanying catalogues contain some of the first published arts scholarship on their work. Media, themes, and presentation methods vary widely in the Perspectives Series, resulting in a dynamic variety of ideas and works that build on the audience’s experience, knowledge, enthusiasm, and growing interest in today’s art. CAMH’s Perspectives Fund provides the resources for this dynamic series and its accompanying catalogues.

All Perspectives Donors at the $5,000 level and above receive:

  • Prominent listing on the exhibition title wall in the Zilkha Gallery for ALL Perspectives exhibitions
  • Recognition and listing in all Perspectives exhibition announcements, press releases, and other publications
  • Invitations to private dinners and other intimate events associated with the exhibitions
  • Recognition in and complimentary copies of CAMH-produced Perspectives exhibition catalogues

Exhibitions and publications Support

In addition to our Major Exhibition Fund and Perspectives Series Fund, CAMH offers more specific and fine-tuned giving opportunities for our donors.

Publications Program

All of our CAMH-curated Major and Perspectives Exhibitions are accompanied by CAMH-produced catalogues. Because CAMH is a contemporary arts organization, many of these catalogues are the first scholarship on our featured artists and their work in art historical literature. These are major and significant contributions to art history and art historical scholarship, as well as acting as a detailed record of CAMH’s exhibitions. We are a non-collecting museum, so all of the artwork that passes through our steel building moves on to another location. These catalogues allow our current and future audiences to get an accurate picture of not only art history, but CAMH’s history as well. CAMH wholeheartedly thanks The Brown Foundation for their 25 years of generous and unwavering support of CAMH through our Publications Program.

Exhibition Support

CAMH’s exhibitions are at the heart of our Museum. They allow us to incorporate contemporary art into the everyday lives of our audiences, make art more tangible by underscoring its relevance and importance within our society. By supporting individual exhibitions, you are able to show a specific interest in an artist, concept, or medium. Corporations receive logo recognition on the exhibition wall. This support enables CAMH to provide important exhibition highlights, innovative and tailored programs, catalogue and other critical contributions to each of these exhibitions, enriching each of these exhibitions and transforming them into exceptional, original museum experiences.
